Day 3: A journal entry from choirboy Joshua Zanett

This morning we got up ate French toast and sausage for breakfast.  After that, we drove to the church and said “goodbye” to our host family, then got on the bus headed out.  We’ll see what happens next!!!!  On the ride, I saw an American Coot (bird) for my first time, they were all over.  North Dakota has gotten so much rain that it flooded.  Whole fields were flooded; cars and construction equipment are under water.  Whole forests are flooded.  Oil drill rigs are drilling oil all over the place too.  We got to the performance place and had Sloppy Joes for supper.  WE had our concert and met our host families.  Then we drove to our host family’s house and played with their dogs and cats and ate popcorn.  After that, John Paul took a shower and after he was done, I took a shower too.  Then I brushed my teeth and went to bed.

  1. Great entry, Joshua. Thanks for sharing! Be on the lookout for the Western Meadowlark. It's the state bird of Montana and has a bright yellow breast.
